How does on-airport parking work?

On-airport parking offers the fastest route from car park to check-in. Parking this way means the car park is located within the airport perimeter and usually just a few minutes’ walk from the terminal (some may require a short bus transfer).

Simply follow the signs to the terminal your flight departs from, and then follow the signs to the car park. Park your car, unload your bags and make your way across to the terminal.

On-airport parking offers one of the fastest routes from car to terminal, meaning it's ideal for travellers wanting to park as close as possible to the airport.

How does off-airport parking work? 

Off-airport parking means you park your car in a parking facility that is outside of the airport perimeter and take a shuttle bus transfer to the terminal. This usually offers the best value for money and is a cheap Heathrow Airport car parking option.

This depends on your requirements but if you want convenience and need to save time, then our Meet & Greet car parking options might be ideal. If you're looking for value for money, there are plenty of cheap Heathrow Airport parking options to choose from including off-airport facilities which offer shuttle services to the terminal.

Off-airport parking is usually the cheapest and options start from just £6.17 per day when booked in advance.

How long can I park for?
Meet & Greet and off-airport options offer Long Stay car parking suitable for all durations, while on-airport options are suited to shorter trips. Prices vary depending on the time of year but start from just £105. If you're dropping off passengers, you can also use any of the Heathrow Airport Long Stay car parks with the first 30 minutes free of charge. Travellers can then use the free shuttle bus to get to the terminal.

Are there dedicated drop-off zones close to the airport?
The pay-for-drop-off zones are located right outside each of Heathrow’s four terminals and cost £5 each time you enter. There are no entry barriers; your vehicle’s registration number will be picked up by the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras and payment can be made online or by telephone: 0330 008 5600. You can pay for a single drop-off or pre-pay for multiple drop-offs. Failure to pay will result in a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) of £80, which is reduced to £40 if paid within 14 days.

What are the Short Stay durations?
Multiple Heathrow Airport Short Stay car parking options can also be used for picking up passengers. How can I get the best deal?
To get the best price on Heathrow Airport parking, it's recommended to book online in advance as this will usually give you the cheapest rates. Choose off-airport parking and make use of the Park & Ride shuttle facilities for the best deals. You can also sign up for our mailing list to take advantage of the latest offers and deals.

Do I have to book in advance?
While you don't have to book your Heathrow Airport car parking in advance, it's worth planning if you want to get the best deal. You can even book the day before, but you'll likely pay more the closer you are to your flight departure.

Do you offer disabled parking?
There are Blue Badge spaces in both the Short Stay and Long Stay car parks. In the Short Stay car parks these are located close to the access route to the terminal. In the Long Stay car parks, they are located close to the shuttle bus stop or the car park office. Exemptions are in place for Blue Badge holders, and you can apply online for a Blue Badge discount.  Alternatively, there is a range of Meet & Greet parking services, including evParkGiant, which will also charge your electric vehicle for you while you are away. Note that the roads around Heathrow do not operate the Blue Badge scheme and any unattended vehicles will be towed away.

Are there any height restrictions?
There are some height restrictions at Heathrow's Short Stay car parks: ·       Terminal 2 Short Stay car park 2: 2.05m (6ft 9in) ·       Terminal 3 overheight area: 2.75m (9ft); other floors 2.2m (7ft 2in) ·       Terminal 4: 2m (6ft 6in) ·       Terminal 5 overheight area: no restrictions; other floors 2.2m (7ft 2in) Overheight vehicles ·       Terminal 2 Short Stay car park: a designated area for vehicles up to 3m; minimum charge £15.30 for up to two hours ·       Terminal 3 Short Stay car park 3: vehicles up to 2.75m on the ground floor ·       Terminal 4 Short Stay car park 3: vehicles over 2m may use the Long Stay car park, where they will be charged the Short Stay tariff for up to six hours, then normal charges thereafter  ·       Terminal 5 Short Stay car park 5: overheight vehicles may use the overheight/fast track entrance on the ground floor; minimum charge £15.30 for up to two hours

Do Heathrow car parks have EV charging points?

Can I amend or cancel my booking?
Depending on the terms and conditions of your Heathrow Airport parking booking, you might be able to amend or cancel. It's usually possible to cancel your booking up to 24 hours before you travel. You can change or manage your booking by logging into your account. If you need any extra help with changing your booking, you can speak to our customer services team.

What is Park Mark Safer Parking?
While you are away on your travels, you need peace of mind that appropriate security measures are in place at your chosen car park.
