Park Mark Safer Parking Award

We take airport parking security seriously and always partner where possible with parking facilities that are accredited with the Park Mark Safer Parking Award.

The Park Mark Safer Parking Scheme is a Police Crime Prevention Initiative designed to reduce both crime and the fear of crime in car parks across the UK. Car parks are assessed on their standards of security, maintenance and management practices and only those that fulfil the criteria are accredited with the Park Mark award. Assessments are carried out on an annual basis.

Look out for the Park Mark tick when booking your parking at Newcastle Airport.

Book early to save on your Newcastle Airport car parking

Airport parking charges usually fluctuate according to availability and season, just like most airfares. So, our first money-saving tip is to confirm your airport parking booking as early as possible, especially if you are travelling in peak season.

Our booking data shows, on average, the cheapest time to book parking at Newcastle Airport. The data says that if you confirm your parking booking with APH six months prior to travel, you could save over 45 per cent, in comparison with making a reservation just one week before you fly.

In real money terms, this means paying £34.00 instead of £64.00, for a week’s parking. You’d probably agree that it’s much better to have the saving of £30.00 in your pocket – for holiday treats!

Newcastle Airport Parking Types

Here is all you need to know about finding the right Newcastle Airport parking for your trip.

On-airport short-stay parking: How it works

Perfect for short trips away, short-stay parking at Newcastle Airport allows you to park within a couple of minutes’ walk of the terminal.

Offering quick access to the check-in desks and convenient parking, short-stay parking, such as Newcastle Airport Short Stay Parking 1, allows you to simply find a space, take your luggage and keep your keys with you. And upon your return, you find your car in the same parking bay and drive it away. Just remember to keep your car park ticket safe, for a quick and easy exit!

On-airport car parks, such as Newcastle Airport Short Stay Parking 1, benefit from the tight security that operates within the airport complex.

Here's a quick overview of how on-airport short-stay parking works.

Finding the car park is easy. You just drive to the airport and follow the signs to Newcastle Airport Long Stay Parking. At the barrier, take a ticket and park your car. Unload your luggage and continue on foot to the terminal.

Off-airport car parks at Newcastle Airport include Newcastle Airport Park & Fly, which is just a five-minute bus transfer from the terminal. The car park is accredited with the Park Mark Safer Parking Award and has security fencing, barrier controls for entry and exit, CCTV and is patrolled 24 hours a day.

Meet and greet parking: How it works

Meet & Greet parking is an on-airport type of parking, which avoids the need to search for a parking space.

Offering the ultimate in convenience, you simply drive to the designated meeting point, usually right next to the terminal, and meet your Meet & Greet operator, who will take your vehicle and park it for you. Your car will be kept in a secure parking facility for the duration of your trip and returned to the terminal for you to collect at the end of it.
