What's the difference between the Heathrow Airport car parks?

If you're unsure which option to choose, look at our Heathrow car park comparison table.

Are there car parking options at all Heathrow Airport terminals?

There are four passenger terminals at Heathrow Airport – T2, T3, T4 and T5. When booking Heathrow Airport parking, you need to know which one your flight departs from.

For more information on each terminal, including which airlines fly from which terminal, check out our Ultimate Guide to all Heathrow Terminals.

How to save money on your Heathrow Airport parking

We understand that cost is important to travellers. Having been in the airport parking business for several decades, we are more than happy to share our tips on how to get cheap Heathrow Airport parking, without compromising on your security or our service.

1. Sign up for great deals

One of the easiest ways to maximise your money is to sign up for our mailing list. Not only will you receive details of the latest deals and sales, but you can also take advantage of an instant discount offer of at least 10%.

2. Book early to save

Heathrow Airport car parking costs can fluctuate with availability and from week to week. Booking in advance is a great way to benefit from significant savings. Book Heathrow Airport parking six months before your flight departure and you could save up to £10 per day, compared with making a reservation just one week before departure.

The graph below shows how Heathrow car parking prices can increase over six months. Prices are based on the average cost per day.

3. Choose Park & Ride

Off-airport parking is usually the most economical and with our Park & Ride options, there's no need to compromise on safety or service either. APH only offers Park & Ride parking facilities that are fully secure and staffed by professionals. Once you have parked your car, simply take the free shuttle bus service to your terminal.

If you're looking for cheap Heathrow Airport car parking, Maple Express Park & Ride is a popular great value option and has facilities in all terminals.

How does on-airport parking work?

On-airport parking offers the fastest route from car park to check-in. Parking this way means the car park is located within the airport perimeter and usually just a few minutes’ walk from the terminal (some may require a short bus transfer).

Simply follow the signs to the terminal your flight departs from, and then follow the signs to the car park. Park your car, unload your bags and make your way across to the terminal.

On-airport parking offers one of the fastest routes from car to terminal, meaning it's ideal for travellers wanting to park as close as possible to the airport.

How does off-airport parking work?

Off-airport parking means you park your car in a parking facility that is outside of the airport perimeter and take a shuttle bus transfer to the terminal. This usually offers the best value for money and is a cheap Heathrow Airport car parking option.

APH partners only with trusted suppliers with secure, well-maintained car parks, so you don't need to worry about compromising on safety. Our off-airport partners include NCP, DriveFly and Maple Express Park & Ride.

Off-airport parking is straightforward. Follow the directions to the car park, park your car and take the bus transfer to your terminal. On your return to Heathrow, follow the signs to take the transfer bus back to the car park and collect your car.

This option is ideal for travellers looking for the most economical parking. Just allow a little extra time for the bus transfer to the terminal.

How does Meet & Greet work?

Meet & Greet parking is the solution if you're short of time or looking for the ultimate in Heathrow Airport car parking convenience. With Heathrow Meet & Greet parking you simply drive straight to the terminal, where you leave your car and car keys with the Meet & Greet operator. Your car will be driven to a secure parking facility for the duration of your trip, while you take your bags and stroll to check-in. Your vehicle will be returned to the terminal for you when you arrive back at Heathrow.

There’s a Meet & Greet to suit all needs – evPark Giant Meet & Greet offers EV charging while you're away and providers such as Edward Lloyd Meet & Greet are ideal for anyone who requires assistance for mobility or disability needs.

Meet & Greet is the perfect car parking solution for families travelling with bulky luggage or sports equipment, those with restricted mobility or passengers short on time.

Book your Meet & Greet parking with APH for an approved Meet & Greet operator. We partner only with trusted and tested Meet & Greet parking services.

Harry, head of Marketing at APH explains how to chose the best car park option for your needs:

"Whatever your budget or airport parking requirements, we have a range of options to choose from. If you're taking a short business trip, then our on-airport parking might be more suited to you, especially if you're short on time. Travelling with the family, especially young children, doesn’t need to be stressful when you use Meet & Greet. With no parking to worry about, you can simply drop your car and head for the terminal. Plus, there's no need to stress about lost car keys either as they stay with our secure operators. Take a look at our Heathrow car park comparison table to see which option might suit you best."
