Family rooms are available and sleep up to 4, all rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs with pay per view movies, tea and coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathrooms complete with a glorious power shower; just what you need to get the family going in the early hours. On-site there are two restaurants to choose from, Great Room Bar & Lounge serves up classic British dishes; if you fancy something a little more continental, make your way to Tratts Restaurant for freshly made pizza and pasta dishes.

Pushchairs and child seats: Heathrow does not hire out buggies or child seats, but parents flying from Terminal 2 can take their own prams and child seats through security and check them in at the gate.

While the executive-styling and luxury facilities aren’t specifically aimed at children, but if you must book a lounge, then kids are welcome in the Plaza Premium Lounge.

    I was flying with Turkish airline terminal 2 with my 2ys old boy on 4 May 2016 and the lady working in play area was really really good n kind n she helped me n kept my boy engaged with playing n telling him stories. She was amazing n I’m thankful to Kunjana for being so nice n helpful. Once again a big big thanks to Kunjana
