Who operates your parking?

This page lists six Gatwick options. Two are run by APH; four are run by partner operators and booked through APH. It is worth knowing which is which before you book, because it determines who you deal with if something goes wrong on the day.

1. Operated by APH: APH Gatwick Park & Ride and Airparks Gatwick Park & Ride. Both use APH’s own car park on Copthorne Road, Crawley RH10 3PD – our site, our shuttles, our staff. APH has run airport parking since 1980 and operates its own car parks serving Gatwick, Manchester and Cardiff.
2. Operated by partner providers, booked through APH: APH Meet & Greet Forecourt, I Love Meet & Greet, I Love Meet & Greet Valet and Ace Meet & Greet. Your booking and payment are with APH; the parking service itself is delivered by the named operator. Day-of-travel questions and service issues go to that operator, using the number on your booking confirmation. This is set out in full in our terms and conditions.

APH Gatwick Park & Ride

Our own car park, and the best-value option on this page. Best for travellers who want the lowest price and don’t mind a short shuttle ride – and for anyone whose plans might change, because this is the only option here you can cancel on the day.

1. Type: Off-airport Park & Ride. You check in at reception and hand over your keys; our team parks the car.
2. Where: Copthorne Road, Crawley RH10 3PD, just off the M23.
3. Transfers: About 10–12 minutes to the terminals, with shuttles every 10–15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Transfers to both terminals are included in the price.
4. Opening hours: Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
5. Security: CCTV across more than 120 camera points, barrier-controlled entry and exit, full floodlighting, security fencing and staff on site around the clock.
6. Cancellation and changes: Free, any time up to your pre-booked arrival time.
7. Vehicle limits: Maximum height 2.4 metres. No trailers, and no vehicles over the height restriction.
8. Operated by: APH.

What happens on the day: drive to reception, where a member of our team checks you in and takes the car – then take the shuttle to your terminal. On return, the shuttle brings you back and you collect your keys and car from reception.

How much time to allow: add 20–30 minutes to your airline’s check-in time. That covers the check-in queue at reception, waiting for the next shuttle, and the drive to the terminal. Allow longer during school holiday getaways and the early-morning departure peak.

If your car has a ghost immobiliser, our team cannot move it, so you will need the Self Park upgrade (£20). Add it when you book rather than on arrival.

Airparks Gatwick Park & Ride

The same car park as APH Park & Ride above – same site, same shuttles, same staff – sold under the Airparks brand. The one real difference is the cancellation cut-off, so check both prices before you book.

1. Type: Off-airport Park & Ride (leave keys at reception).
2. Where: Copthorne Road, Crawley RH10 3PD – the same site as APH Park & Ride.
3. Transfers: About 10–12 minutes, shuttles every 10–15 minutes, 24 hours a day.
4. Security: Identical to APH Park & Ride – CCTV across 120+ camera locations, barrier-controlled entry and exit, floodlighting, fencing, staffed 24/7.
5. Cancellation and changes: Free up to 24 hours before your parking period begins. This is the key difference: APH Park & Ride can be cancelled right up to arrival; Airparks needs 24 hours’ notice.
6. Vehicle limits: Maximum height 2.4 metres; no trailers.
7. Operated by: APH.

APH Gatwick Meet & Greet Forecourt

Transfer-free. Best for travellers who want the shortest possible walk to check-in, and for anyone with heavy luggage or an early flight.

1. Type: Meet & Greet at the terminal forecourt – you hand over your keys and walk to departures.
2. Walk to check-in: About 2 minutes.
3. On the day: Call the number on your confirmation when you are about 10 minutes away, drive to the meeting area, hand over the keys, and go. On return, call once you have your luggage and the car is brought to the meeting point.
4. Drop-off charge: Gatwick’s forecourt charge is included in your booking price and paid on your behalf – you will not pay it separately.
5. Security: Secure compound with CCTV, fencing and barrier controls, staffed 24/7.
6. Cancellation and changes: Free up to 24 hours before your parking period begins.
7. Operated by: Partner operator, booked through APH.

Gatwick I Love Meet & Greet

Best for families and anyone travelling with a lot of luggage – drive to the terminal, hand over the car and walk straight in.

1. Type: Meet & Greet. A driver meets you at the terminal; your car is stored off-airport.
2. Walk to check-in: About 2 minutes from the meeting point.
3. On the day: Call when you are about 10 minutes away. Meeting points are the Approved Operator bay at North Terminal and the Approved Operator lane at South Terminal.
4. Security: Secure off-airport compound with high fencing, full CCTV coverage, and staff on site 24/7.
5. Cancellation and changes: Free up to 24 hours before your parking period begins.
6. Operated by: Partner operator, booked through APH.

Allow extra time during peak periods – handovers take longer when the forecourt is busy, particularly on school-holiday getaway weekends.

Gatwick I Love Meet & Greet Valet

The premium version of I Love Meet & Greet, for travellers who want the fastest possible terminal access.

1. Type: Premium Meet & Greet / valet-style handover at the terminal forecourt.
2. Walk to check-in: About 2 minutes.
3. Security: CCTV, barrier-controlled access, security fencing, a well-lit site with constant staff presence, 24/7/365. Drivers are uniformed and fully insured.
4. Cancellation and changes: Free up to 24 hours before your parking period begins.
5. Operated by: Partner operator, booked through APH.

Driving a car with an app-based key? Read this before you book. Valet drivers need a physical key to move your vehicle. If your car uses a phone app as its only key, you must provide a physical key form – otherwise a fee of £15 per day applies. This catches out a lot of newer EV and keyless drivers, so check what your car came with before you travel.

Gatwick Ace Meet & Greet

Drive to the terminal, hand over the keys, walk to check-in. Best for travellers who want fast terminal access with minimal walking.

1. Type: Meet & Greet, no shuttle bus.
2. Walk to check-in: About 2 minutes.
3. On return: Give your flight number at booking and the operator will track it and aim to have the car ready for your landing time. If you have not given a flight number, call once you have landed.
4. Security: Secure off-airport car parks with CCTV, lighting, alarms, fencing and 24/7 staff patrols.
5. Cancellation and changes: Free up to 24 hours before your parking period begins.

Thinking of being dropped off instead?

Gatwick charges for forecourt drop-off. As at 8 October 2026, Gatwick’s published tariff is £10 for up to 10 minutes, then £1 for each additional minute up to 20 minutes, with a maximum stay of 30 minutes and a daily cap of £30. Blue Badge holders are exempt.

That matters in two ways. If someone drops you off and collects you, you pay the charge twice. And if you book our Meet & Greet Forecourt option, this charge is already in the price and paid on your behalf – so compare the full cost of each, not just the parking line.

Four things we have learned from running it, worth knowing whoever you book with:

1. The 20–30 minute allowance is mostly queueing, not driving. The shuttle ride is the predictable part. Check-in at reception and the wait for the next departure are what vary, and both peak during the early-morning departure rush.
2. Work backwards from the check-in deadline. Set your car park arrival time from your airline’s check-in cut-off plus 20–30 minutes – not from your departure time.
3. Check what key your car came with before booking a valet service. App-only keys are the single most common day-of-travel problem on Meet & Greet bookings, and ghost immobilisers mean you need the Self Park upgrade.
4. If your plans are uncertain, the cancellation cut-off matters more than the price. APH Park & Ride is the only option on this page you can cancel on the day of travel.

What is the difference between APH Park & Ride and Airparks Park & Ride?
They use the same car park on Copthorne Road, Crawley, with the same shuttles, staff and security. The difference is the cancellation cut-off: APH Park & Ride can be cancelled or changed any time up to your pre-booked arrival time, while Airparks Park & Ride needs 24 hours’ notice. Prices can differ by date, so it is worth checking both.

What are the cancellation rules for each option?
APH Park & Ride: free cancellation or changes any time up to your pre-booked arrival time. Airparks Park & Ride, APH Meet & Greet Forecourt, I Love Meet & Greet, I Love Meet & Greet Valet and Ace Meet & Greet: free cancellation or changes up to 24 hours before your parking period begins. After that cut-off, the full booking is charged, and refunds are not available if you collect your car earlier than booked. Your parking period starts at 00:01 on the first booked day. Always check the terms shown for your selected product at booking.

What is the difference between Park & Ride and Meet & Greet at Gatwick?
With Park & Ride you park off-airport and take a shuttle to the terminal – about 10–12 minutes at Gatwick, with buses every 10–15 minutes. It is the cheaper option. With Meet & Greet, you drive to the terminal forecourt, hand over your keys and walk about 2 minutes to check-in. It costs more and saves roughly 20–30 minutes at each end.

How much extra time should I allow for Park & Ride?
Add 20–30 minutes on top of your airline’s check-in time. That covers check-in at reception, waiting for the next shuttle, and the transfer itself. Allow more during school holidays and the early-morning departure peak.

Is Gatwick Meet & Greet affected by the Gatwick drop-off charge?
Gatwick charges £10 for up to 10 minutes at its drop-off zones, then £1 per additional minute up to 20 minutes, with a 30-minute maximum stay and a £30 daily cap (Gatwick’s published tariff, checked 8 October 2026). Our Meet & Greet Forecourt price already includes this charge, and we pay it on your behalf, so you will not pay separately. Check your booking confirmation for full terms.

Is there a size limit on the vehicle I can park?
At APH Gatwick Park & Ride, the maximum vehicle height is 2.4 metres, and we cannot accept trailers or vehicles exceeding that height. If you are travelling in a van, campervan or roof-boxed vehicle, check the height before booking. Our transfer buses also cannot carry bikes, surfboards, windsurfing boards or similar items.

My car only has an app-based key, or has a ghost immobiliser. Can I still park?
Yes, but check the terms first. For I Love Meet & Greet Valet, drivers need a physical key to move your vehicle – if your car uses a phone app as its only key, you must supply a physical key fob, or a fee of £15 per day applies. At APH Gatwick Park & Ride, vehicles with a ghost immobiliser cannot be moved by our team, so you will need the Self Park upgrade (£20), best added at the time of booking.

Is there electric vehicle charging at APH Gatwick Park & Ride?
There is no EV charging on site at our Gatwick Park & Ride car park, though there are fuel sales nearby. If you need to charge before or after your trip, plan to do so off-site. EV drivers should also check the key question above, as many newer electric cars use app-based keys.

What happens if my flight is delayed on the way home?
Give your flight number when you book so your return can be tracked – Ace Meet & Greet monitors it and aims to have your car ready for your actual landing time. If your return time changes significantly, let us or the operator know as early as you can: we ask for at least six hours’ notice to make your vehicle available. If your exit time changes from what you booked, an additional charge may apply on exit. Contact numbers are on your booking confirmation.

What if I am flying from the other terminal?
Gatwick’s inter-terminal shuttle is free, runs every few minutes 24 hours a day, and takes about 2 minutes. APH Park & Ride transfers serve both terminals and are included in your price, so you can be dropped at the right one.
