Why book Gatwick South meet and greet parking

London Gatwick is the UK’s second busiest airport, with two terminals, North and South, and lots of different airport parking options. Many of these are off-airport car parks, which require a transfer bus ride to and from the terminal.

By booking one of our APH-approved Gatwick South meet and greet parking services you can save time, and drive directly to the terminal. Here you will be met by professional, uniformed staff, who will take your keys and drive your car away to a secure parking compound, where it will be kept safe and sound during your trip away.

These valet parking services include our own award-winning APH Meet & Greet Forecourt, which is located just a two-minute walk from the South Terminal entrance.

Likewise, Ace Parking Meet & Greet is located in the multi-storey car parks right opposite the terminal, offering a seamless transition from car to check-in.

Who is meet and greet parking for?

Meet and greet parking at Gatwick is ideal for both business and leisure travellers. Perfect for those travelling with young families or several pieces of luggage, Gatwick South meet and greet parking is also a great option for passengers with limited mobility. Once you have parked your car in one of the arrivals bays and handed over your keys, you are just a short distance from the terminal entrance.

Bearing in mind that some off-airport park and ride options at Gatwick can add up to 40 minutes to your journey time, a valet parking service can be very good value indeed, appealing to all types of travellers, and all types of budgets.

Further, you can be assured that your vehicle will be tucked safely away in a private parking compound while you are on your travels, rather than in an open multi-storey car park frequented by hundreds of travellers each day.

The table below shows you some sample comparison pricing for different types of parking at Gatwick South, outlining some of the key benefits and value of valet meet and greet parking.

How does Gatwick Airport meet and greet parking work?

Using a meet and greet parking service couldn’t be simpler. Rather than having to follow signs from motorways to off-airport car parks, you drive directly to the terminal, drop your car, and walk into the check-in area.

Valet parking services, such as I Love Meet & Greet Parking, meet you in an Approved Operator lane at the Passenger Drop Off. You hand your keys over, and a fully-insured driver will take your car away to a police-approved parking compound, while you continue on foot to the check-in area and Departures.

While you are away, your car will be housed in a private car park with 24-hour monitoring, perimeter fencing, CCTV, and barrier controls.

When you return, you simply head out of the terminal to the collection point, where your car will be waiting for you to drive away.

How meet and greet parking works

Don’t buy without the Gatwick Approved Operator Scheme

Whichever type of meet and greet service you choose, by booking through APH you can be assured you are booking with an approved parking provider. As well as our own APH Meet & Greet Forecourt parking, we also partner with other approved valet parking providers to offer a selection of meet and greet parking services.

All our partner services are members of the Gatwick Approved Operator Scheme, which is overseen by Gatwick Airport. The scheme provides a list of verified meet and greet Gatwick South parking operators, all of whom conform with strict guidelines to guarantee safe, legitimate and worry-free parking while you are away.

To become a Gatwick Approved Operator, companies first have to receive Buy with Confidence accreditation from West Sussex or Surrey Trading Standards.

The aim of the Gatwick Approved Operator Scheme is to reduce forecourt congestion, by allocating approved meet and greet collection points, and by affording recognition to the meet and greet operators that meet minimum customer service standards, with staff that are fully identifiable and clearly recognisable.

All Gatwick airport car parks that are operated by Gatwick Approved Operators must be accredited with the Park Mark Safer Parking Award.
