Brigg & Stow Bar & Kitchen
Relax ahead of your flight by dropping in for a drink or meal at Brigg & Stow Bar & Kitchen – the airport’s main bar and eatery in the departure lounge. Whether you’re travelling with friends, off on a romantic getaway, or flying for business, you’ll feel equally at home here. Brigg & Stow offers everything from hearty breakfasts to pub classics, burgers, salads and sharers, all freshly prepared using quality local produce. It’s perfect for grabbing a pint, a glass of wine or a pre-flight bite in a laid-back atmosphere. Location: Airside (after security). Opening hours: From the first to the last flight.
Burger King
Burger King is on hand for a quick, satisfying bite – and now you’ll find two of them at Bristol Airport. The original Burger King in the departure lounge serves all your favourite flame-grilled burgers, fries and meals from the high-street menu, including breakfast options and the iconic Whopper® and Chicken Royale. In addition, a new Burger King has opened landside (before security) in the main terminal entrance, giving travellers and those seeing them off another chance to enjoy flame-grilled burgers or a quick meal before security. Both locations are open from the first to last flight, so you can count on a trusty burger fix whether you’re departing or arriving.
Cabin Bar
Try out The Cabin Bar, a premium airport bar complete with a stylish rooftop terrace and retractable roof – perfect for sunny days. The Cabin offers fine wines, craft beers and locally sourced food in a relaxing environment. It’s an ideal spot to unwind with a drink or light meal before your flight. Take in the runway views from the terrace as you sip a West Country cider or sample a local ale. The food menu ranges from cooked breakfasts to sharing platters and mains, so there’s something for every time of day. Location: Airside. Opening hours: First to last flight.
Frankie & Benny’s
New to Bristol Airport in recent years, Frankie & Benny’s brings the much-loved New York Italian dining experience right into the departure lounge. This family-friendly restaurant is known for big flavours and a massive choice of dishes – whether you fancy a juicy burger, a classic pepperoni pizza, or an Italian pasta dish, Frankie & Benny’s has you covered. There’s something for everyone, including a dedicated kids’ menu and options for special diets. It’s a great place to enjoy a sit-down meal and some “well-deserved, chilled-out” time with family or friends before boarding. Location: Airside. Opening hours: First to last flight.
Alembic
For a more upscale tapas and bar experience, head to Alembic in the departure lounge. Alembic – a recent addition as part of the airport’s redevelopment – is “home to Mediterranean bites and premium, locally-sourced spirits”. The menu focuses on small plates and sharing platters inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, from Spanish-style gambas and Padron peppers to artisan focaccia and mezze. It’s an ideal spot to share a few dishes alongside a cocktail, craft gin or local beer. Alembic even offers breakfast options with a Mediterranean twist (like shakshuka or avocado on sourdough) if you’re flying early. With its stylish atmosphere (the bar’s name nods to a copper distilling pot, an “alembic”), this venue provides a deliciously relaxed start to your journey. Location: Airside. Opening hours: First to last flight.
Tortilla
Craving a burrito or taco? Tortilla, another recent arrival, offers authentic California-style burritos and tacos made fresh with the best ingredients. All the fillings, toppings and salsas are prepared by the crew each morning, so you can taste the freshness and quality in every bite. Choose from burritos loaded with your choice of meats or veggies, rice, beans and salsa, or opt for crispy tacos – perfect for a quick, filling meal before your flight. You can even pair your Mexican street food with a real Mexican beer or a refreshing frozen margarita if you’re starting your holiday early. Tortilla has become the UK’s most popular burrito joint, and now you can enjoy their fast, flavourful food airside at Bristol. Location: Airside. Opening hours: First to last flight.
Coffee and snacks
Whether you need a pre-flight caffeine fix or a quick snack, Bristol Airport offers plenty of options both before and after security. Here are the key spots to know:
- Caffè Nero (landside, before security): Located on the first floor just before the security area, Caffè Nero provides a cosy coffee house experience with plenty of seating. It offers a full range of barista-made coffees, teas and cold drinks, plus pastries, sandwiches and snacks to eat in or take away. It’s an ideal place to relax if you arrive early or are waiting to send off friends, and it opens early in the morning through to the last check-in.
- Ritazza (landside, arrivals end): Situated on the ground floor at the arrivals end of the concourse, Café Ritazza is “perfect if you’re meeting friends and family” or want to grab a quick bite before heading home. This 24-hour style café offers quality coffee and a range of refreshments and pastries, as well as draft beer for those who fancy a pint. There’s seating inside and even an outside terrace (with a smoking area) – great for some fresh air with your coffee.
- M&S Food (landside, Transport Interchange): If you prefer picking up your own provisions, the airport’s new and improved M&S Food store is now open in a brand-new location before security. It’s a larger, upgraded M&S offering a wide selection of fresh sandwiches, salads, snacks, and drinks – perfect for pre-flight snacks or to take on board. There’s even an in-store bakery and a range of travel essentials. M&S Food is open from first to last flight and is conveniently located by the bus and coach station entrance (Public Transport Interchange), accessible to both departing and arriving passengers.
- Starbucks (airside): Once through security, you can grab your familiar Starbucks coffee in the departure lounge (near the shopping area). It’s the classic go-to for your latte or Frappuccino fix, along with a selection of sandwiches and sweet treats. Starbucks at Bristol Airport stays open until the last flight, so even those on late departures can get their coffee boost.
- SOHO Coffee Co. (airside): This locally born artisan coffee chain offers a fantastic combination of great coffee and fresh, handmade food. SOHO Coffee Co. caters to a variety of diets – you’ll find vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options – and all food is prepared in-house daily. Their menu spans from hearty breakfast baps and porridge to oozing toasties, wraps, salads and indulgent cakes. It’s a great place to relax before your flight, with a modern, cosy atmosphere and specials served throughout the day.
- Soul & Grain (airside): New as part of the airport’s upgrade, Soul & Grain is a “fuelled by freshness” grab-and-go outlet. Located in the departure lounge, it represents an evolution of the quick snacks concept – you’ll find nutritious yet tasty options like freshly made sandwiches and baguettes, salads, pastries and excellent coffee from local roasters. All items are handmade on site daily, using local ingredients such as Hobbs House bread and Barber’s cheddar. If you’re after a healthy bite or gourmet coffee to take on the plane, Soul & Grain has you covered. It’s open all day until the last departure.
With this wide range of food and drink outlets now available at Bristol Airport, your holiday can truly begin the moment you arrive. From leisurely restaurant meals to quick grab-and-go snacks, there’s something to suit every taste and schedule. In fact, the airport’s aim is to make “the holiday feel like it starts the moment passengers arrive” – and with all these dining choices on offer, you can relax and enjoy a bite to eat or a coffee in true holiday spirit before you even board your flight!
