Cardiff Airport Parking
Cardiff Airport parking with APH is at APH Cardiff Park & Ride (formerly Highwayman), a secure off-airport car park in Fonmon, about 5 minutes from the terminal. Transfers run every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, and the journey takes 5 - 7 minutes.
You park in an arrival bay, hand your keys to our team at reception and board the bus. On the way home the bus brings you back and your keys are returned to you as you board. It is the only parking option we operate at Cardiff, so there is nothing to compare and nothing to work out.

What car parking options do you offer at Cardiff Airport?
One: APH Cardiff Park & Ride (formerly Highwayman). We do not operate on-airport parking or Meet & Greet at Cardiff, and we would rather say so plainly than pad this page with options you cannot book.
Cardiff Airport has a single terminal, which is what makes a 5-minute off-airport transfer work so well here. There is no terminal to guess at and no second shuttle leg.

What does parking at Cardiff Airport cost?
The price in the panel above is live for the dates you have entered, and that is the figure your booking is confirmed at. The table below is a different thing: it shows how the price at this car park typically moves depending on how far ahead you book, so you can judge whether to book now or wait.

| When you book | Typical price per day | Availability | What we would do |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6+ months ahead | £5.40 - £6.40 | High | Book. This is as low as it goes, and you get the widest choice of dates. |
| 3 - 6 months ahead | £6.40 - £7.85 | High | Still a good time to book. Prices have started to move but not far. |
| 1 month ahead | £7.85 - £9.30 | Medium | Book soon. Waiting from here costs money rather than saving it. |
| 2 weeks ahead | £9.30 - £10.70 | Low | Book now. Dates start dropping out around school holidays. |
| 1 week ahead | £10+ | Very low | Book immediately and expect last-minute rates. |
Indicative daily rates for a 7-night stay at APH Cardiff Park & Ride, based on APH booking patterns at this car park. Figures are an illustration of how prices move with booking lead time, not a quote. Your price is the one shown in the booking panel and confirmed at checkout. Reviewed 12 October 2026.
The pattern is consistent: booking six months out rather than the week before typically takes 25 - 30% off the daily rate. Booking early also protects availability over school holidays and half terms, which is when this car park fills first.
How our Cardiff Airport parking works
Drive to the car park → Park in an arrival bay → Check in at reception → Hand over your keys → Board the transfer bus → Enjoy your trip

Getting here
The car park is at Fonmon, Rhoose CF62 3BH, next to the Highway Inn, which is the landmark most customers spot first.
- Leave the M4 at Junction 33 and follow signs for Cardiff Airport.
- Join the A4232, signposted for Cardiff Airport.
- Stay on the A4232 and take the slip road marked ‘Airport’. At the roundabout, take the third exit.
- Follow signs for the airport across the next five roundabouts.
- At the fifth roundabout, take the right fork towards St Athan and Llantwit Major.
- Take the next left after the British Airways hangar, then keep right through the village of Fonmon.
- At the crossroads, turn left and continue to the car park.
When you arrive
Park in one of the designated arrival bays, bring your booking confirmation to reception and hand your keys to our team. Your car is parked for you inside the compound. Transfers leave every 15 minutes around the clock and take 5 - 7 minutes, so allow around 30 minutes from arriving at the car park to standing in the terminal.
When you get back
Head for the transfer bus stop outside the terminal. Your keys are handed back to you as you board, and your car is waiting when the bus pulls in. Our team tracks inbound flights, so a delayed arrival does not mean a longer wait - the bus already knows when you are landing.
How to save money on your Cardiff Airport car parking
1. Book as far ahead as you can. The table above shows why. Six months out is roughly a third cheaper per day than the week before you fly, for exactly the same space.
2. Join the APH mailing list. Members get at least 10% off parking bookings, plus access to promotions, flash sales and competitions. Sign up with your email address, confirm your membership and apply your personal discount code at checkout.
3. Compare the real total, not the headline. Weigh the all-in price of a week here against a week in the airport's own car parks, and against repeated drop-off charges if someone would otherwise be driving you both ways.
What our Cardiff customers say

"It is an easy process to book into the parking. Hand over your key and you're off to the airport. On return it couldn't be easier - out the airport and the minibus is waiting for you, as they track your inbound flight so if there are any delays they know and are there when you arrive. I have used APH Cardiff Park and Ride for many years and I would wholeheartedly recommend it." - Mrs W, verified customer
"Always pleasant staff and regularly on time. Transfer vehicles are clean and comfortable. Car is always parked near the arriving transfer bus, so no long walk." - Mr J, verified customer
"So well organised and only a few minutes away from the airport. Will definitely use them again." - Mrs R, verified customer

FAQs - Cardiff Airport Parking
Where exactly is your Cardiff Airport car park?
APH Cardiff Park & Ride (formerly Highwayman) is at Fonmon, Rhoose CF62 3BH, next to the Highway Inn, about 5 minutes from the terminal. From the M4, leave at Junction 33, join the A4232 towards Cardiff Airport and follow the airport signs to the fifth roundabout, then take the right fork towards St Athan and Llantwit Major. Turn left after the British Airways hangar, keep right through Fonmon village, and turn left at the crossroads.
How often do the transfer buses run, and how long should I allow?
Transfers run every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, and take 5 - 7 minutes to reach the terminal. Allow around 30 minutes in total from arriving at the car park to standing in the terminal, which covers checking in at reception, handing over your keys, and the transfer itself.
What happens to my keys while I am away?
You hand your keys to our team at reception, and we park your car for you inside the compound. Keys are held securely by staff for the duration of your trip and handed back to you as you board the transfer bus on your return, so your car is ready to drive away when the bus reaches the car park.
What if my flight is delayed or I get back in the middle of the night?
The car park is open and staffed 24 hours a day, and transfers run around the clock, so there is no cut-off to get back to your car. We track inbound flights, which means a delayed arrival is already accounted for and the bus is expecting you at the time you actually land rather than the time you were scheduled to.
How secure is your car parking facility at Cardiff Airport?
APH Cardiff Park & Ride (formerly Highwayman) parks cars inside a protected compound with security fencing, CCTV, floodlighting at night and uniformed staff on patrol 24 hours a day. Because the site is staffed around the clock rather than left unattended between transfers, there is always someone on the compound while your car is with us.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your departure, and amend your booking through Manage My Booking using your booking reference. Full conditions, including how amendments are priced if your new dates cost more, are set out in the terms that apply to your booking.
Do you offer on-airport parking or Meet & Greet at Cardiff Airport?
No. We do not currently offer on-airport parking at Cardiff, so Meet & Greet is not available here. With a single terminal and a 5-minute transfer running every 15 minutes, park and ride is a close substitute at Cardiff in a way it is not at larger airports. We do offer on-airport parking at several other airports, including Heathrow and Manchester.
Do you provide assistance for those who struggle with mobility?
Disabled parking spaces are available in the arrival area, and our team can help with luggage on request. Wheelchairs can be carried on the transfer bus in a folded position. If you need step-free access to the bus or any other specific assistance, please call us before you travel so we can make the arrangements in advance rather than on the day.
Is there electric vehicle charging at your Cardiff Airport car park?
Yes. Electric vehicle charging is available at the Cardiff car park for an additional cost, so you can return from your trip to a charged vehicle. Charging is subject to availability on the day, so please request it when you book rather than on arrival.
Do you offer hotel and parking packages at Cardiff Airport?
Not at Cardiff. If you are weighing up a night before an early departure, we do offer hotel and parking packages at other airports, including Bristol and Birmingham.
