Directions

After leaving the M1 or A42:

  1. Exit the M1 or A42 onto the A453.
  2. Follow the road past the airport for 2.6 miles until you reach a roundabout.
  3. Take the second exit at the roundabout.
  4. Then at the second roundabout take the exit immediately on your left. 

Arrival instructions

On arrival at the JetParks 1 car park:

  1. The JetParks car parks at East Midlands Airport are pre-book only, so make sure you book your space in advance.
  2. On the day, simply drive up to the car park barrier, and our ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system will recognise your car's number plate and open the barrier. There's no need to take a token.
  3. Find a space and park up, then head to the nearest bus stop to take the free bus transfer to the terminal.

If the barrier does not rise automatically, do not press the button for a ticket, instead call for assistance using the intercom button.

Please ensure you allow sufficient time park your vehicle and complete the airport transfer.

Return instructions

Returning is just as straightforward:

  1. On your return, take the bus transfer back to the car park and find your car right where you left it.
  2. When you drive up to the barrier it'll recognise your number plate again and you can drive away.

Vehicle requirements

  • All vehicles must be roadworthy and hold a valid MOT.

Security

This car park is covered by CCTV and has regular security patrols. JetParks 1 invests greatly in security for their customers. 

Disabled facilities

All shuttle buses are DDA compliant, making them suitable for passengers with reduced mobility. Designated parking bays for Blue Badge holders are also available, providing convenient access and a smoother start to your journey.

Vehicle restrictions

  • Standard cars must fit within a 2.4m x 4.8m parking bay.

  • Motorhomes, camper vans, lorries, caravans, trailers and oversized vehicles are not permitted in JetParks 1.

  • A grace period of up to 6 hours is allowed beyond your booked time.

  • Overstays are charged at £45.00 per day once the grace period is exceeded.
