Why Book Airparks Drop and Go, Luton Airport

Airparks Drop and Go provides a convenient and efficient parking option at Luton Airport. Arriving at the car park, drive up to the barrier, which will document your vehicle's condition for safety and security purposes. Choose an available arrival bay and proceed to the check-in building. Utilise one of the check-in machines to complete the self-check-in process. Attach the provided receipt to your keys and drop them into the designated box, allowing you to swiftly board the transfer bus to the terminal and continue your journey.

Collecting your car is a hassle-free experience. Simply take the transfer bus back to the car park and make your way to the check-out shelter. The machine will return your keys and display the location of your car on the screen, ensuring a seamless retrieval process.

Additional Information

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they are less than 2m wide x 2.1m high x 5m long. The car park cannot accept any high-sided vehicles, minibuses, mobile homes, lorries, caravans, trailers or vehicles larger than the above maximum dimensions.

Directions

Coming from the North (M1):
- Leave the M1 at junction 10.
- ­At the motorway roundabout, take the first exit from the north onto Airport Way A1081.
- ­Keep in the left-hand lane and take the slip road signposted towards St. Albans, Harpenden A1081.
- ­You'll come out onto a roundabout where you should take the first exit onto London Road.
- ­At the next roundabout, take the second exit signposted St Albans, Harpenden A1081.
- ­Shortly after, turn right onto Newlands Road, following signs for Airparks.
- ­Turn left onto the B4540, signposted Slip End and Markyate.
- ­At the traffic lights, turn right onto Grove Road.
- ­Take the first left onto the service road.
- ­Airparks will be on the right after about 100 meters.
 
Coming from the South (M1):
- ­Leave the M1 at junction 9.
- ­At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A5183.
- Continue on A5183 for approximately 2 miles and at the traffic lights turn right onto B4540 (Luton Road towards Luton).
- Continue on B4540 for approximately 1.5 miles into Slip End village and at the traffic lights turn left onto Grove Road.
- ­Take the first left onto the service road.
- ­Airparks will be on the right after about 100 meters.

 

Arrival Procedure

On arrival at the car park - 

  1. Pull up to the barrier, which will lift automatically after a few seconds
  2. Press the green button at the second barrier to enter the car park – as you enter they'll record the condition of your vehicle for safety and security
  3. Park in one of the arrivals bays, then head into the check-in building
  4. Check yourself in using the machines – you'll need to have a copy of your booking confirmation to hand
  5. The machine will give you a tag and a ticket. Attach the tag to your keys and keep your ticket safe as you'll need it later
  6. Drop your keys in the box with the same number as the lane you've parked in
  7. Your car will be parked for you, so just head to the waiting area and hop on the bus to the airport
  8. You'll need to show your ticket to the driver

Return Procedure

On your return -

  1. Catch the shuttle bus back to Airparks from bay R (you'll need to show the driver the ticket you were given when you arrived)
  2. Make your way to the check-out shelter and follow the instructions on the key dispenser
  3. The machine will give you your key back and show you on the screen where your car is
  4. Find your car and drive to the exit barrier – you'll need to insert your ticket to scan the barcode attached to your keys, and then the barrier will lift

If you lose your ticket, you'll need to go to reception, answer some security questions, then show a photo ID, so make sure you have one with you.

Bookings from March 1st, please head to Bus Stop E on your return.
