When you leave your vehicle behind and make your way to Stansted’s terminal building, you can rely on the knowledge that your vehicle will be left in safe hands. The entrance and exit to the car park are barrier controlled. You can only access the site if your vehicle has been registered with the car park, as it uses ANPR technology (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). The car park is also floodlit at night and watched by CCTV cameras, so you can be happy in the knowledge that all activity has been checked and recorded. Collectively, these measures have earned JetParks car park the Park Mark Award. This award is given out by the police as part of their Crime Prevention Initiative. In order to receive this award, it has to meet their high standards.
There are transfer bus services that run between the JetParks car park and Stansted’s main terminal. These take just 15-minutes to reach the terminal doors, and operate every 15-minutes, meaning that it won’t take long for you to be on a bus and on your way. When you board the bus, remember to tell the driver which zone you have parked in, so you can be easily dropped off. This transfer service runs between the hours of 04:00-22:00. However, this does not mean that outside of these hours you won’t be able to access the car park. To do this, you simply take the Long Stay transfer bus and request to be dropped off at JetParks – it’s as easy as that!
All buses to and from JetParks Stansted are wheelchair accessible, so you can be sure that you will easily be able to get to and from the terminal doors. There are also designated bays for Blue Badge permit holders, all of which are clearly signposted. However, these are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis, so it is wise to book ahead of time.
While the specific JetParks bus has set operational hours, the car park is open 24-hours a day, which is why you can always access it, even with the Long Stay bus service. It is open all year round too, so you won’t need to worry about parking on bank holidays or other occasions.
