APH Gatwick has moved

Great news! APH Gatwick has moved closer to the Airport.

Why are we moving?

The headline is we’re now even closer to the airport and M23 – meaning shorter journeys and faster transfers to both terminals via dedicated shuttle buses. Departure day will be faster, easier and more enjoyable for all.

We’re also working hard to reduce our environmental impact. APH is a carbon-balanced company and has worked closely with the World Land Trust for more than 12 years.

By moving closer to Gatwick, we’ll cut our buses’ fuel consumption by almost 1.2 million litres over the coming decade. On top of this, the CO2 will drop by 2100 tonnes in the same time period. Our new reception building will also include photovoltaic roof panels to convert sunlight into power.

The map below shows just how much closer the new car park is compared to our current site.

What about the impact on the local area?

APH has always been a family-run business and will continue to care greatly about its impact on the local community.

We currently provide jobs for more than 150 people and hope to grow this number as the new site opens.

The new car park is also on a major bus route, with APH committed to improving the nearby bus stop for the benefit of local residents and businesses.

The car park itself is built on disused land next to the M23 motorway, where a noise survey has revealed sound levels above normal motorway traffic will not be noticeable by the very few houses close to the site.

Our new home at Gatwick is almost complete and we look forward to welcoming you towards the end of November. There’s a progress picture below, taken on the 14th May.
