APH researches the eateries available at Manchester Airport’s new terminal 2

Construction of the new £15billion ‘Super Terminal’ is well underway at Manchester Airport so APH has put together a guide for hungry travellers looking to grab a bite to eat before their flight, comparing the 14 new restaurant offerings available once the Terminal 2 project is complete.    

The research reveals the new restaurants opening in Manchester’s super-terminal, what type of food they serve and whether they offer takeaway options or seated dining, as well as children’s menus.  

Amber Alehouse

Amber Alehouse is a modern industrial gastropub with a musical and energetic atmosphere opening in Manchester Airport Terminal 2 to serve lunch and dinner to hungry holiday goers. Famous for its extensive selection of local beers this alehouse will offer a bar menu of sandwiches, burgers and wings alongside niche cask ales, craft beets and small-batch lagers.

Perfect for: Groups of lively travellers.  

Archie’s

This fast-food favourite is opening its fourth Mancunian branch in Manchester Terminal 2 to serve travellers lunch and dinner in an American diner setting. Burgers, waffles and milkshakes make-up the most popular items on the main menu and children’s menu, all of which can be ordered to eat in or take away.

Barburrito

Barburrito is a Mexican quick-service eatery that will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Manchester’s terminal expansion. The menu is made up of burritos, tacos and salad bowls as well as Mexican beers and soft drinks. Barburrito will also offer a children’s menu and will be fitted with digital order screens to allow customers to grab and go.

Grindsmith

KFC

The world’s most popular chicken restaurant will be bringing its famous Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe to Manchester’s Terminal 2. Whilst it will not have a dedicated seating dining area, travellers can order burgers, chicken, wraps and children’s menu items to go.

M&S Food To Go

This supermarket come coffee shop will sell traditional M&S products to go. The shop will include a bakery section, a cold snack offering such as sushi and wraps, as well as a hot sandwich and soup area.

M&S Simply Food Store

Manchester’s new super terminal will also boast a traditional Simply Food M&S supermarket which will sell sandwiches, ready meals, wraps, baked goods and snacks.

Pot Kettle Black

This speciality coffee shop and bakehouse are dedicated to comfort and quality. The brunch-based menu will be available all day to eat in or take away and will feature eggs, cooked breakfasts, French toast and porridge, as well as pastries and brownies! Wine and beer will also be served alongside traditional coffee shop beverages.

San Carlo Cicchetti

VIT

The fresh juice bar famous for ensuring there are no sugar, preservatives or additives used in its products, will open a take-away bar in Manchester’s new super terminal. Wagamama

This cult favourite Asian eatery will also be opening a branch at Manchester’s new terminal to serve its ever-popular chicken katsu curry and noddle dishes to hungry holidaymakers.
