Very basic but that is just what you need when you're staying the night before a flight. Room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We didn't dine in the hotel so can't comment on this. Staff were friendly. We were able to leave our car there for 2 weeks whilst on holiday and a taxi to Gatwick North Terminal was less than £10, which the hotel booked for us when we checked in. Great value for money for a short, convenient stay.

A few things to mention.

1. We arrived on 28th March 2017 and then gents urinals in the only toilet near the restaurant and reception were both out of order. We returned to collect our car today (6th April) and there is NO CHANGE 10 days later. No idea how long they have been like that.

2. The velux blind in our room didn't work properly and was very tatty.

3. The hotel insist on you leaving your car key with them even though it is not mentioned whatsoever in the detailed information. This may be a fault with the way APH advertise the facilities. I specifically looked for a booking that didn't require me to leave my car keys. Too late when I have already got there ahead of a holiday!

4. On a more positive note, the food in the restaurant was fine.

5. On a really positive note, the shuttle driver was extremely helpful and ensured you knew what to do on your return (he is the reason we have marked 8 for the staff).
