With more around 10 million Brits heading to Spain each year, it’s inevitable that some are going to collect speeding tickets while driving hire cars. Speeding in Spain can be costly. The amount of the fine you will receive will depend on how much you were speeding over the limit. For example, if you are caught speeding by 10-20km/h, you will be fined €100. If you are caught speeding by 21-30km/h, you will be fined €300. And if you are caught speeding at more than 30km/h, you will be fined €600.

Like many countries, Spain has a graded system for speeding fines, which depend on how much the limit has been exceeded by.
The most serious offences can attract a fine €600 (£525), or an entry-level penalty of €100 (£87). Other fines of €300 (£260), €400 (£350) and €500 (£437) can also be applied.

    Rental companies will give Spanish authorities your passport details , if you dont pay you`ll be flagged at the border next crossing,missed flights , big fine , locked up etc just pay the fine.

    If i don’t pay my speeding fine sent to me in spanish which i can’t read what will the Spanish police do to me.

      I have just received a speeding fine in for the offence on 12/3/22 is this correct and how do pay it is with rental car
