My black gown had arrived, hair trial done and new shoes purchased just for good measure. In the travel world this can only mean one thing…. The BTA was here!
October 31st saw travel’s top representatives get their glad rags on, sip champagne (or in some instances guzzle by the bucket) and dance the night away at the Battersea Evolution for the annual British Travel Awards. The BTA is the largest independent awards scheme in the UK and is one the of the travel industry’s annual highlights.
I was attending the prestigious event representing APH who have won ‘Best Airport Parking Company’ for the previous 3 years, so the pressure was on for us to win it again.
This year’s event coincided with Halloween so upon entering the Battersea Evolution I was greeted by 8 foot tall ghouls and ghosts. The organisers had definitely gone to town with the theme throughout the evening – we even ate Crow (well chicken really) for dinner.
Our category was announced early on in the evening and I am pleased to say that for the 4th consecutive year APH were once again named ‘Best Airport Parking Company’! As the award is voted for by the public, rather than an official board and audited by Deloitte it really does mean a lot to us. I would like to send a huge thank you to all our loyal customers who voted for us to help us win this fantastic award!
