- Didn't recognise car on arrival, but easily resolved on exit
Published on: 02 December 2014
With its convenient location within the airport complex, getting from Stansted Airport Long Stay Car Park to the terminal is quick and easy. The shuttle buses run 24 hours a day, with a transfer time of around 5-10 minutes.
When you arrive at the car park, the automatic number plate recognition system will confirm your booking and issue a ticket (showing car registration number and booking reference), which you will hold on to. You then park your car and head for the bus stop to catch one of the regular shuttle buses to the terminal.
Upon your return, follow signs for “Buses to Long Stay Car Park” and catch one of the 24-hour transfers back to the car park. Once you have collected your car, drive to the exit barrier and insert your ticket - it's that easy. If you do experience any difficulties, simply use the 'Help' button to call a member of staff for assistance, 24 hours a day.
