Stansted eyes the future
2008-04-18
Travellers at Stansted Airport are being promised a better travelling experience - thanks to ongoing terminal extension which will offer extra space for travellers. The airport is spending £40 million on a project that will add nearly 6,000 square metres of floor space to the international arrivals area.
Stansted’s investment is designed to help the airport cope with the increased numbers that will flow from new flights to and from the airport.
Managing director Stewart Wingate said: “This will transform the terminal building and improve the customer service we provide to the tens of thousands of passengers who pass through Stansted every day. We’ve invested in the latest technology to improve the environmental performance of the terminal and limit the impact of our operations.”
