Belfast flights mean business

2008-05-14

Now you’ve more choice of continental destinations to select from if you plan to fly from Belfast Airport.

That’s because new flights to Munich, Milan and Lanzarote will be on offer from next winter (2008 to 2009).

It brings the total number of overseas destinations that you can fly to from the Northern Ireland airport to 34.

More than six million people are set to fly from Belfast this year. And the new flights will help Northern Ireland’s business flyers, the airport believes.

Airport managing director John Doran said the new flights are a boost for the whole Northern Ireland economy.

He said: "At a time when there has arguably never been a greater need for companies here to exploit their export potential we are giving them access to Europe that has never been available before.”
