All aboard for Ipswich flyers
2008-04-22
If you live in or around Ipswich and need to fly from Stansted then you may want to hop aboard a new bus service from the Suffolk town to the airport.
The route opens on May 3 and offers a service every two hours throughout the day and night. Coaches will have WiFi and reclining leather seats.
Stansted’s public transport development manager Steve Mills said: “Ipswich is a key town in the east of England. We already have more than 40 per cent of our passengers using public transport to get to and from Stansted and this new route will help us continue to build on our UK leading position.
“The service will be the only direct public transport link between Stansted Airport and Ipswich and with a journey time of 1 hour and 15 minutes we are confident that people in the town will find it extremely convenient and an excellent alternative to their car.”
