At last! Cheap calls abroad and internet!
The cost of making telephone calls from your hotel room can come as a rather costly shock. But that's all set to change, according to telephone service provider TravelTalk. For they are offering a new service which will allow travellers to make calls from their hotel room for a only a fraction of the normal cost.
It's the aim of TravelTalk to offer holidaymakers and business travellers with an effective alternative to using their own mobile phones and also to earn some previously lost revenue for hotels. The TravelTalk service should cost callers from 5.99Euros for 60 minutes. A bonus is that there are no hidden costs and no set-up or on going running costs for the hotels. It's reported that under 3% hotel guests use the phones in their hotel rooms to make external telephone calls. It is thought that by the end of 2010 the system will be installed in some 60 hotels. At present only 3 are served
The system has already been installed in three hotels and Clasix forecasts it will be in 60 around Europe by the end of 2010.
It's planned to offer a flat-fee internet service and in-room entertainment before the end of this year. To find out more about their flat fee Alternation rate calls, please visit
