APH looking after your interests

Above all else, APH wants happy customers. To this end it has decided to alter its terms and conditions in the light of the continued problems caused by volcanic ash fallout over Europe.

APH has announced a new policy for most of the airport car parks that they sell: If you have to cancel anytime up to the day before you are due to depart for your holiday due to volcanic ash, you should be able to obtain a full refund. (Minus any credit card fee, of course) This is a 'lifesaver' of an idea, as it means you can then use the money 'freed up' as it were to make a new booking.

Of course, you probably already know about the fantastically helpful pre-booking deals that APH offers its customers. APH would like to remind you that these discounts are still available and that you can make significant savings on the 'turn up and park' rates.
Should you have to cancel on the day, you can do this right up until your booked arrival time at the car park. You will be able to transfer the money that you paid for the booking and use it against any future booking through APH for another car park during the next six months.

Of course, should you need to cancel for reasons other than...

APH in Ride for charity

Doubtless you will have heard about the famed London to Brighton Car Rally, in which cars both veteran and vintage (some over 100 years old!) travel from London to Brighton? You might not have heard of the London to Brighton Bike Ride. This will take place on Sunday June 20th. It is one of the popular fundraising events organised by the British Heart Foundation and looks set to help raise that very worthy cause even more funds this year.

APH regularly puts a team in and this year will be no exception. A team made up from the staff who are more usually found helping you arrange your airport parking will don their cycling helmets in order to raise much-needed funds for the sterling work of the British Heart Foundation.

It is reputedly the UK's largest charity bike ride and an amazing 27,000 riders are expected to cycle the beautiful route through the Garden of England between London and Brighton on the Kent coast. The British Heart Foundation are aiming to raise over £4.3 million to continue their pioneering research and also provide backing and support to heart patients and, equally important, their families.

APH on Facebook

Facebook is a unique Internet-based messaging service that allows millions of people all over the world to communicate with each other in a heartbeart, and it doesn't. In general, matter where in the world you are! Because in general terms, if you have Internet access, you can access and make updates to our Facebook account.

It can help friends stay connected or help re-connect old friends, keep members of a society in touch with the latest news about their group and it can help the modern, forward-looking business to keep in close touch with all of its customers who sign up for their Facebook page.

APH has now introduced a Facebook presence. This means that Facebook users who click on the Facebook logo on the APH website can then sign up and be sure that APH will be able to use their Facebook presence to inform APH service users, who are online, about special offers that are available, new services that have been added to enhance the already bulging portfolio of products on offer by APH!

But there's a potentially more important use that this new Facebook service provides. The know before you go information such as vaccination requirements that have been...

British Holiday Confidence Returns

It seems the confidence of British holidaymakers is returning. According to latest figures from Travelsupermarket.com over half the UK population will be going away this year.
The study also indicated that 25% of British holidaymakers are more likely to go on holiday in the next 12 months than they were only six months ago.

As we say, value for money still appears to be a top consideration, as 79% say that price is one of the most important factors when they look to book a holiday. And is an even more important factor than the likely weather and the facilities at the destination.

The research (amongst 2,000 adults) looked at holiday budgets. At the start of 2010 apparently we looked at spending £1,014 per person on their main family holiday. But in January 2011 this had fallen to £829. This figure has started to rise and now stands at £837. Londoners look to spend the most (£988) bit those in the West Midlands are looking to book their holidays on a tighter budget at £746.The study also includes a Holiday Spending Money Index, which indicated that the weekly spending levels (that's not including flights and accommodation) are down some 3%...

EasyJet Launches Direct Route To Tallinn from Liverpool

EasyJet has recently launched its first direct service to Tallinn from the city of Liverpool. The popular low-fares airline now provides a three-times-weekly service to Tallinn from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and fares seem quite modest, starting from as little as £23.99 for a one-way, ticket , but that does include taxes).
There's a great deal of interest in the city of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, because it is this year’s European Capital of Culture.
It's also becoming a favoured destination because there's something for just about everyone who visits Tallinn. It has an enchanting historic centre with real medieval buildings and cobbled lanes and streets, but there's also some bewitching boutique shopping, well-thought of eateries and an interesting nightlife.
Ali Gayward, Eastjet's commercial manager is enthusiastic not only about the serivce, but about Tallinn. Ali said: “Tallinn is a rising alternative city break destination as it beautifully brings the city’s medieval history together with its modern art galleries, stylish cafés and chic...
