If you’re excited by the idea of the new Airbus A380 mega-jumbo aircraft, then you’ll be thrilled to hear Qantas will be launching a service from London to Australia, via Singapore, on the super airliner in January next year.
The Australian carrier just launched its first A380 flights between Melbourne and the US west coast. It’s planned to make these flights daily by the end of 2009.
And the first Sydney-Los Angeles flight on the 450-seat aircraft is due to take off on October 24 this year.
Qantas is taking delivery of three A380s by the end of the year, and aims to have eight in service by the end of 2009.
