New air craft and 10 new routes for Ryanair passengers
Ryanair has announced that it is to invest an extra £127m, in UK tourism as it bases new aircraft in Bristol (up one plane to five) and Liverpool (up two planes to a total of eight), from 28th March. Ryanair also plans to open ten new routes from Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow (Prestwick) and Liverpool John Lennon, Airports, from next February. This should, explained a spokesman, deliver 400,000 extra passengers per year, and add an additional 400 new jobs at these airports during the coming year.
All Ryanair’s new routes from Bristol to Faro, Gdansk, Palma de Mallorca, Venice (Treviso) and Valencia, from Edinburgh to Tampere, from Glasgow (Prestwick) to Carcassonne and from Liverpool to Lodz, Rimini and Trapani will be available for booking immediately at www.ryanair.com. Ryanair also is increase flight frequencies on two Bristol and four routes from Liverpool.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara is quoted as saying: “Ryanair is delighted to announce three new aircraft and ten new routes for Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow Prestwick and Liverpool airports which will deliver 400,000 additional passengers and create 400 new jobs while ensuring increased competition and choice for consumers. Ryanair routes at these airports deliver millions of passengers, and sustain thousands of jobs at each airport and in the surrounding regions every year.”
