It's war!

EasyJet has launched a two-pronged campaign. Firstly, there's a major campaign of price reductions.  Billed as: “easyJet’s biggest ever sale slashing sales on over 22 million seats,” EasyJet claims it will mean 25% off every seat on every route, every  day not excluding Valentine’s Day, half term and Easter. The sale covers flights between February 3 and July 14. To obtain these discount prices visit www.easyJet.com There are also allied deals on hotel accommodation, etc.

Meanwhile, EasyJet is running  a price comparison campaign targeting Aer Lingus’  Gatwick-based low priced service launched by the Irish carrier a year ago. UK-based EasyJet claims that, on comparable routes, the prices (each may) are in the region of £100 more.

Paul Simmons, EasyJet’s general manager is quoted as saying: “This campaign is aimed at exposing the myth that Aer Lingus also offer low-fares this summer. The evidence illustrates otherwise.
