APH Resort Guides at a Glance:
Verbier

Overview
Chi-chi, sexy and so much fun, Verbier is a great place to go with a group. The terrain is awesome, the nightlife rocks and the people-watching potential is infinite. What are you waiting for?

Terrain
The pistes here get really crowded, so keep an eye on who’s coming up behind you. If you’re after off-piste, you’ve come to the right place; make sure you take a guide.

Recommended run
Head over to the back of Montfort for long, steep stuff to put come colour in your cheeks. Intermediates should make for Savoleyres to avoid the crowds.

Ski-in, ski-out?
If you’re staying at the upper part of the village, you can almost ski to your door (snow permitting), but this means a bit of a schlep to the bars. It’s up to you.

Cost of living
It’s not cheap here - expect to pay about £3 for a beer and around £6 for an on-slope spag Bol.

Nightlife
Boozy. Head to Le Fer a Cheval for apres beers in the sunshine; or the infamous Farinee, where late afternoon can easily blur into Midnight if you’re not careful. Try T-bar for something slightly more sophisticated.

Alternative activities
If the weather is good, take a paragliding flight over the village - stunning views you’ll never forget. If you’re here with the family, take a toboggan run down from Les Ruinettes.

Family friendly
If you’re looking for a day to yourselves, you can leave the little ones at the Schtroumpfs nursery and head up the hill. Meanwhile, families can get good discounts on lift passes (don’t forget your passports).
