Stansted Airport ParkingStansted is one of BAA’s seven airports, and the fourth busiest in the UK. Stansted has achieved an enviable reputation as a highly efficient airport. It is also classed as one of the best in the world at serving the low-cost sector. London Stansted Airport has one terminal and one runway servicing more than thirty airlines. They handle over 21 million passengers a year with growth targeted at 25 million passengers per annum by 2010. If you are a frequent flyer, the shopping or eating experience at Stansted will hold no great surprises for you. You will enjoy pleasant surroundings though, whether you want to treat your sweet-tooth at Ice Cream Cart or simply have a coffee and sandwich. Those in need of retail therapy can bag the services of their own personal shopper. Shops include Quicksilver, Ted Baker, Nike, Monsoon, the Pen Shop and Hackett. Stansted is a favourite airport with business travellers and provides both wireless internet access as well as fixed terminals. There is a suite of meeting rooms as well as a business centre. For travellers who prefer to meet at hotels, there are on-airport hootels which can be booked through APH, including the Radisson SAS which is just a 2 minute walk from the terminal and boasts a 13m high wine tower. Hotels off-airport, include Stansted Manor and Little Hallingbury Mill - the bar has an original internal mill wheel. Those with a love of history can check out The Saracens Head in the ancient town of Great Dunmow.
Stansted is located about 30 miles to the north-east of London, next to junction 8 on the M11 motorway. If you are coming from the North or Midlands, access is by the A1 and A14.
