Aberdeen AirportLocated on the windy north-west coast of Scotland, on the A96 Inverness road, Aberdeen Airport today is the smallest of BAA's seven airports. The Airport might be lacking in size, but it is the main heliport for the United Kingdom's offshore oil industry. In fact, it is the world's largest commercial heliport, with over 37,000 helicopter movements each year. Around 468,000 passengers are transported to and from oilrigs in the North Sea.
