The reception looked lovely, but the rooms were very tired and very compact. They are in desperate need of re-decoration. The bathroom was a joke - the shower head was extremely low so you had to crouch to get under it (I'm only 5'4"), there was no where to hang your towels and the shower curtain was grubby. Fortunately we were only staying the one night. Also, it is very noisy in the rooms from the planes taking off and landing and the air conditioning. I did not sleep well, the only redeeming factor was the comfy beds. Unfortunately, when we checked in the receptionist did not tell us we needed to collect a car parking ticket to exit the car park. We will never stay at the Thistle London Heathrow Terminal 5 again.

Lovely hotel and really convenient for terminal 5 via 'the Pod'. Only moan is that there was not much variety in the menu!

The only drawback of this hotel is that there is no lift in this hotel. Individual above 65 years of age and pensioners find hard to carry there luggage to upstairs . There should be an automatic arrangement for pensioners to deal with their luggage. This is a health and safety risk needs an urgent attaintion by the hotel administration .
