"Drinks prices in the bar were extortionate eg £8.95 for a glass of mediocre wine. This, no doubt, because the hotel deals mainly with business travellers. The only concession being a 10% discount during the weekend. The transfer taxi broke down and failed to arrive. We only found out when we went to reception to check its whereabouts and it was then left for the hotel night porter to be summoned to run us to the terminal."

The room was large and comfortable and the shuttles to and from the hotel fast and faultless. The use of the courtesy phone at the airport was particularly thoughtful. Everything went very smoothly. "I used APH parking to park my car for a week and an over night stay. I booked a 'mystery hotel' So the price was very cheap. After booking with the sales team via phone I was informed that the hotel was The Hilton Hotel (East Midlands airport) I couldn't believe it!! Wonderful service at the hotel and when our transfer for the airport arrived the driver drove to our car to help us with our luggage. The same happened on the return journey. It made us feel very special and took the stress out of travelling."

"The hotel was good. However upon return, we had to wait over 1/2 an hour after ringing for transport back to the hotel. This was as the hotel has decided to use a taxi company instead, to save money, and they had to wait for 4 couples to arrive before they could return to teh hotel. I had used this hotel due to the ease of travelling with a child upon return. If this is what the hotel is going to do in the future, I will think again about using the Hilton."

"We complaind about the dirt & dust in room 136 the breakfast was awful dried out looking as though it had been cooked for hours we ordered 2 sandwiches and waited almost an hour and having to ring to remind them. The checking in was dreadful although the room had been booked since October nobody seemed to care. I have e-mail twice without hearing back but will write to head office as both my friend and I have used Hilton Hotels worldwide but would never book anywhere with them again."
