APH compares airline hand baggage allowance

hand baggage allowance

As a result of several airlines including easyJet and Monarch, changing their fees and regulations relating to hand baggage, holidaymakers can face even more confusion when packing their luggage. In order to help travellers to plan ahead and pack correctly, Airport Parking and Hotels has put together research on the regulations and restrictions on hand luggage across all major airlines.

The below table highlights the maximum size and weight allocation for hand luggage for both short and long-haul economy class flights. It also outlines restrictions such as the extra allowances available for customers travelling with children and the additional charges that may be imposed should passengers arrive at the departure gate with oversized hand luggage.
