Staff Review – Arora Hotel Gatwick

Staff Review - Arora Hotel GatwickMy name is Sarah and I work for APH. I recently visited the 4-star Arora Hotel near to London Gatwick Airport with the Sales and Customer Service team. We like to put ourselves in our customers’ shoes and experience everything the hotel has to offer!

Outside on arrival at the hotel, you are greeted by a grand water feature – the entrance of the hotel makes you think ‘WOW!’ The reception/lobby area although huge, is very welcoming and not what you would expect at all. The décor is very modern and definitely has a lot of character from the giant ‘hand chairs’ to the beautifully lit fountain that stands four floors high. The Arora is very generous with space; it’s open and most importantly clean.

Two members of the hotel showed myself and some of my colleagues around – we started off with a family room (I think it is the biggest family room I have seen in a hotel!) the room consisted of two queen size beds and one small double sofa bed. We also looked at a standard double room; this room included a queen size bed and an armchair. Both room types included an en-suite with granite bath, separate shower, sink and toilet. They also both had a mini fridge, air con, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities and free limited bandwidth Wi-Fi internet. Throughout the hotel and rooms the décor is kept clean and modern and very spacious.

The hotel has many facilities including a great sized gym, a relaxing steam room and a large inviting sauna.

With APH, this hotel offers a few different parking packages – one with secure parking at the hotel. With this option there would be a transfer to the airport at an additional charge (but if there are 4 of you travelling, the hotel will arrange a taxi for £10, which works out cheaper per person). The other package is to park at our own secure off site APH car park which includes a free transfer to the airport.

The Arora is in a fantastic location, located right by Crawley town centre so if you have forgotten anything for your travels you can easily nip into town which is just a 5 minute walk away. Crawley train station is accessible via an incredibly short walkway and Gatwick Airport is an 8 minute transfer from the Arora. Although the Arora is so close to Crawley town centre and train station, the hotel is amazingly sound proof so you can get a good night’s sleep.

The Grill Restaurant is calm and classy with a relaxing ambiance. If you want fine dining the Grill is the best option, as it has a variety of mouth watering foods from juicy steaks to Scottish salmon. Morgan’s Pub has a more relaxed atmosphere; the food menu offers quicker and easier options, like pizzas and sandwiches. Situated in the centre of the atrium is the Palm Deli – an idyllic setting for an informal meeting, a light lunch (like fresh homemade paninis) or a quick coffee.

This hotel is excellent value for money, in a great location and the staff are incredibly polite, helpful and very welcoming. I would not hesitate to visit this hotel again and will hopefully get the opportunity to stay again soon!

I will agree with you Sarah, I’ve been there last month with a friend and our stay is all worth it. The room rate is quite expensive but you won’t regret with their services offered. We chose a single room since we are only two. We enjoyed the gym in the morning and sauna in the evening. It is so relaxing. I can recommend this hotel to my friends.
